Arbor started in 1995 convinced that there was a need for brands willing to take responsibility for the impact their products have on the environment. Time spent riding had always provided a direct understanding of what’s at stake. From Arbor, “We all need clean air to skate, clean water to surf, and snow to ride. For those of us who pursue boardsports, protecting the planet is about the environments we use everyday. It was becoming obvious that the boardsports industry, which relies on a healthy environment to succeed, needed to get more involved with protecting the planet.”
Arbor's multi-dimensional long skate - the Hybrid was designed with a wide mid-section, concave profile, and rounded kick tail/nose to deliver both longboard stability and real flat-ground/park performance. Arbor Koa decks are made with seven plys of hardrock maple and a finish ply of Hawaiian Koa, all of which are sustainably sourced. Koa's more densely packed fibers add important structure, which improves return, while providing a one-of-a-kind grain pattern on each deck. Koa wood was used by the Hawaiians to build the 1st surfboards over 600 years ago. Features of the Arbor Hybrid Koa Complete include: Arbor 65mm 78a durometer Street Series wheels, ABEC 5 bearings, and 10" Gullwing Charger trucks.
