Blind was founded in 1989 by professional skateboarder Mark Gonzalez and named as a dis to his former board sponsor; Vision Skateboards. The original Blind logo that is still used today was also designed by the artistic talents of the Gonz. Many other influential skateboarders from the 80’s and 90’s were also part of Blind in its early days. Today Blind’s eclectic mix of professional skaters is represented by Ronnie Creager, Jake Duncombe, James Craig, Jake Brown and more.
This Blind Duncombe Jim deck features the DSM woodshop monster mold construction This is Blinds most modern mold based off recommendations from many of there pro design suggestions. Monster mold features: More mellow kicks in the nose and tail for better ease of foot placement and greater consistency by melting away some of the harshness of a defined crease in the kicks. The kicks also have a significant concave in this pocket area, creating a spoon shape which cups the back foot and adds rigidity to the sometimes soggy flat area behind the bolts. There is significant lateral concave and a very slight rocker for long lasting rigidity and pop.
