Started in 1986, the company was originally named Ethics, but in 87 switched to Etnies. In that same year, Etnies sponsored the first pro ever, Natas Kaupas. In 89 they moved the operations to America. In 1990, they sponsored Sal Barbier, which gave birth to the Sal23 shoe, which might be one of the most loved shoes in the industry to this very day. Now in its 22nd year of operation, Etnies still provides a shoe that gives skaters what they want: durability, style, and comfort.
To complement the LS, the Etnies Malto 2 is a performance driven cupsole. Built around a custom last, this silhouette comes with a signature label, hidden lace loops and an internal suede heel counter. For the first time Etnies has added the STI DTF Pro2 which is the highest grade cushioning offered. Designed and tested by Sean Malto.
