Powell has a long history in the skateboard industry. Being one of the first “real” skateboard companies, Powell is the fine producers of decks, Bones wheels, and Bones bearings. George Powell built his first deck in 1976 for Sims Skateboards, and one year later started Powell Skateboards, with help from Stacey Peralta. In 1979 the infamous Bones Brigade was formed to showcase the talents and products of Powell/Peralta skateboards. Powell is not only known for their decks, but for making the best bearings in the industry, Bones bearings, and for making fine wheels.
