Sector 9 started in La Jolla, California in 1993 by Steve Lake, Dave Klimkiewicz, and Dennis Telfer. Sector 9 specializes in longboard skateboards for the surf, skate, and snowboarding lifestyles and its main focus is on hard goods, but they also offer a range of soft goods. Sector 9 sponsors numerous different skateboarders and surfers. Their top riders include Louis Pilloni, Scoot Smith, Joel Tudor, Gavin Beschen, Tyler Martin, Billy Green, and Shane Allen.
