In the late 80’s when the size of skateboards were transitioning into a smaller size with smaller wheels, Shorty’s was established as the first skateboard company to manufacture shorter bolts to fit the smaller boards. Shorty’s has since expanded into a skateboard hardgood empire featuring Black Magic Grip Tape, Quickies Bearings, Black Panther Bearings, Doh Doh Bushings, Dooks Riser Pads, Shorty's Clothing and Shorty’s Decks. The company was known in the earlier days for their racy and suggestive ads which regularly featured a model named Rosa.
